Start-Up, one of the most watched netflix kdrama in 2020, starring Nam Joohyuk, Bae Suzy, Kim Seonho, Kang Hanna, and many more. The drama wasn’t in my 5 top kdrama list, but still I recommend it for those who likes entrepreneurship & business. When I first saw the trailer, I already decided that this drama will be good for me, because Nam Dosan’s job field is the same with me haha. So I watched it. I got many lessons from it. But in this story I just wanna share the moments that made me cry. Maybe because I take it personally, so, just wanna share my perspectives as a watcher. I classify the scenes by two kind,
- Dalmi’s father scenes
I don’t know why but I feel sympathy too much with Dalmi’s father. I think I see him in some of the people I know. Someone who tries to pursue his dream and be a happy, good parent at the same time. Of course its not easy. He must sacrifice his family’s comfy life to realize his dream. His wife left him and took his first daughter with her. He ended up dying before bringing his dream into reality and he couldn’t even bring the chicken he bought for Dalmi T_T the scene in the bus was hard to watch. I was like “Come on you have to wake up!!! You got the investment, dont leave Dalmi.” But he wont wake up. I honestly really hate Dalmi’s mom and injae at first, and hope they admit that their choice was wrong. But now I kinda understand that not everyone have the same value. Maybe it was a super hard time for Dalmi’s mom. When grandma imagined her son getting together with his family in the house, laughing & smiling, I COULDNT HOLD MY TEARS. In the bottom of my heart, I just want everyone to be happy tho.
- NoonGil App & Grandma scenes
Truth be told, until now I still feel like crying everytime I remember NoonGil App. NoonGil app is a helpful tool for the visually impaired. As a software developer or computer science graduates, I respect Samsan Tech for building something to help people. I cried when Grandma thanks Dosan for developing the app, that it was pretty helpful for her who’s losing vision little by little. I also cried when the blind woman with dog was testing the app and said it was nice. Seeing how powerful computer technology can be, I started wanting to learn more about machine learning. I hope I also can help as much people as possible.
THATS IT. Hohoho. What a short story huh. I’m actually not into business or entrepreneurship thing, but I love how this drama encourages people to create products that solve citizens problems. If you’re feeling the same, comment down below! Thank you for reading.
